"A Greeley man convicted of human trafficking and pimping several underage girls, among other felonies, was sentenced Wednesday in Weld County to a maximum possible sentence — 248 years to life in prison.
Paul Burman, 33, was convicted in August on 32 criminal counts, all but one of them were felonies, for prostituting several victims, adults and teenagers, including one as young as 15, according to the Weld County district attorney’s office.
Burman, who was known by the alias “Haylo,” provided the victims with drugs and alcohol, arranged meetings and booked hotel rooms, where victims would have sex with men. Money paid to the victims was turned over to Burman.
Burman beat and sexually assaulted one of the girls for not making enough money and talking back to him, according to court testimony. He used threats and violence to force his victims into prostitution..."
